Financial Wellbeing and Capability Activity - National Debt Helpline
The Australian Government is inviting organisations to apply in a closed non-competitive grant process to deliver services under the Families and Communities Program – Financial Wellbeing and Capability (FWC) Activity – National Debt Helpline (NDH) from 1 July 2025 to 30 June 2030.
To be eligible to apply, you must have received an invitation to apply through GrantConnect.
The NDH is a national telephone service that provides access to financial counselling services which support eligible people to address their financial problems through the provision of information, advocacy and negotiation. People can also access information at ndh.org.au, and chat to a financial counsellor online through the NDH chat function on the website.
The NDH operates as the front door into financial counselling supports by providing individuals with financial counselling services, and referrals to other supports including emergency relief, housing, mental health support, and family and domestic violence supports.
The objectives of the NDH grant opportunity are to provide safe and inclusive access to financial counselling services and to provide people who access the NDH with a consistent, streamlined experience, including timely access to further financial counselling supports as needed, regardless of their location.
