Aged Care Research and Industry Innovation Australia (ARIIA)
The purpose of this grant opportunity is to provide ARIIA with Commonwealth funding to maintain and enhance their research and innovation initiatives as they progress towards self-sustainability. ARIIA have been previously funded $34m by the Commonwealth over three years to establish as an organisation and begin aged care research plus training activities.
In 2022, the Australian Government supported the establishment of an Aged Care Centre for Growth and Translational Research (CGTR) with assistance from Flinders University. In 2023, the CGTR was renamed ARIIA and incorporated in August 2023.
ARIIA’s establishment was one of the key recommendations of A Matter of Care; Australia’s Aged Care Workforce Strategy and is the Government’s only investment in aged care translational research and innovation.
