Working for Women Program
Description:

Working for Women: A Strategy for Gender Equality (the Strategy) outlines how the Australian Government will focus its efforts over the next decade to achieve gender equality.

The Government is providing up to $5 million from March 2025 to June 2030 to fund a research partnership with a research institution to build the evidence base on what works to achieve gender equality, especially in relation to driving women’s economic equality.  It will also develop a mechanism to hear directly from the Australian community, particularly women, about their experiences, concerns and priorities to better inform and support the development of public policy.

A single organisation or consortia will be selected through this competitive process to form a research partnership with the Office for Women in the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet.

The round will open 13 August 2024 and close 23 September 2024. An information session will be held on 20 August 2024, 10.00am to 11.00am AEST, and advertised on GrantConnect. Refer to the Office for Women website for further information.
