Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) Australia - Health and Medical Research for Type 1 Diabetes
The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) Australia - Health and Medical Research for Type 1 Diabetes Grant Opportunity will provide $5 million funding over one year from 2024-25 to facilitate and improve access to new treatments and therapies through clinical trials.
The funding was announced in the 2024-25 Budget as part of $22.1 million over two years (2024-25 to 2025-26) to continue support for preventive health and chronic disease research for Australians with chronic conditions. This supports the National Preventive Health Strategy 2021–2030 and the Government’s preventive health agenda to reduce pressure on the health and aged care system and ensure all Australians stay well for longer.
The purpose of the grant opportunity is to support investment in health and medical research for Type 1 Diabetes (T1D) to facilitate and improve access to new treatments and therapies through clinical trials and the translation of research for people living with T1D.
