My Blue Sky
In the 2022–23 Federal Budget, the Australian Government committed to strengthening efforts to prevent and respond to forced marriage of women and girls through the My Blue Sky website and service.
Forced marriage is a form of family, domestic and sexual violence under the National Plan to End Violence against Women and Children 2022–2032 and a slavery-like practice under the National Action Plan to Combat Modern Slavery 2020–2025.
To support implementation of both plans, the Australian Government is inviting Anti-Slavery Australia through a closed process to maintain and/or update the My Blue Sky website and service under the Criminal Justice: Modern Slavery – Community Crime Prevention Program – My Blue Sky Grant Opportunity over 4 years from 2022–23 to 2025–26.
My Blue Sky is Australia’s national online hub dedicated to forced marriage prevention and support, and provides critical information, referrals and legal advice, in an accessible and discreet format for people in, or at risk of, forced marriage. The intended outcomes of the grant opportunity are:
- The My Blue Sky website and service continues to be a trusted national service that is accessible and based on up-to-date, best practice and trauma informed principles.
- Increased access to support and information for people experiencing, or at risk of, forced marriage, including children and young people.
- Increased awareness of forced marriage and the My Blue Sky website and service across communities and the service sector.
To be eligible to receive a grant, you must be the invited organisation listed in section 4.1 of the Grant Opportunity Guidelines and have received an invitation to apply through GrantConnect.
By invitation only.
