This grant opportunity is part of the Drug and Alcohol Program and aims to increase access to evidence-based drug and alcohol treatment services and reduce the impact of substance use on individuals, families and the community by funding additional drug and alcohol treatment services in areas of identified need across Australia.
This grant opportunity will ensure critical interventions are accessible to the individuals requiring drug and alcohol treatment and support.
The funding provided under this grant opportunity are for drug and alcohol treatment projects in areas of identified need, which includes projects formerly funded through the Community Health and Hospitals Program, Support for Alcohol and Drug Abuse in South Australia and Lives Lived Well Caboolture.
The intended outcomes of the grant opportunity are to:
• provide increased access to a range of evidence-based drug and alcohol treatment services in identified areas of unmet need across Australia;
• strengthen the capacity of the drug and alcohol sector to achieve improved health and social outcomes for those seeking treatment for drug and/or alcohol use; and
• reduce the impact associated with substance use to individuals, families and communities.
