Grants to the United Nations and related peacebuilding and peacekeeping organisations
The purpose of the grant is to provide funding to the United Nations and related peacebuilding and peacekeeping organisations to support peacebuilding and peacekeeping activities outside Australia.
The objective of the grant is to provide funding to be used by the UN and related peacebuilding and peacekeeping organisations to support:
• education, training and capacity building activities for civil or military personnel on peace related activities;
• the provision of equipment or services to support foreign countries’ participation in peace operations;
• research and policy development on peace related issues;
• the engagement of civil or military personnel in peace operations and institutions; and
• improvement of infrastructure used in peace operations.
The United Nations and related peacebuilding and peacekeeping organisations are the only eligible applicants for this grant opportunity. Applications are not eligible if the potential recipient is an organisation included on the National Redress Scheme’s website at www.nationalredress.gov.au on the list of ‘Institutions that have not joined or signified their intent to join the Scheme, where relevant.
