Structural Adjustment Fund – Round 2
The Structural Adjustment Fund (the Fund) is running over 3 years from 2023–24 to 2025–26. The program was announced as part of the Government’s 2023–24 Budget. This is the second and final round under the Fund. Up to $14.7 million is available for this second round, and grants can be for up to 15 months. Most grants are anticipated to be between $50,000 and $500,000 (GST exclusive.).
The purpose of the Fund is to create employment pathways and opportunities for people with intellectual disability and other high support needs.
The Fund will enable this by supporting a range of innovative projects to create:
• sustainable employment, training and capacity building opportunities for people with high support needs
• better pathways to open employment for people with high support needs
• supported employment workplaces that better meet community expectations, including by paying higher wages and becoming more connected to the community.
The department anticipates there will be a variety of approaches suitable for these grants, however all grant activities must clearly align with the guiding principles for the future of supported employment, and support people with high support needs to progress towards their employment goals.
Round 2 also has a focus on projects which support priority cohorts, including First Nations and Culturally and Linguistically Diverse people with disability. More information about priority cohorts is contained in the Grant Opportunity Guidelines.
