Diversity in STEM: Australian Diversity in Science Accreditation Framework (ADSAF)
The Australian Diversity in Science Accreditation Framework (ADSAF) grant opportunity will deliver an independent accreditation framework that supports organisations employing STEM workers in Australia to embed equity, diversity, and inclusion practices in their workplaces and increase the proportion of people from underrepresented cohorts engaging in STEM careers.
This grant aims to drive cultural change in the vocational education and training (VET), higher education and research sectors (who are major STEM employers and educators) on equity, diversity and inclusion of underrepresented cohorts. ADSAF assesses institutions against their ability to demonstrate a solid foundation for eliminating systemic barriers to equity and diversity and developing an inclusive culture.
Science in Australia Gender Equity Limited, ABN 81 637 720 873, has been identified as the appropriate recipient because:
- there are no other service providers capable of delivering the project because Science in Australia Gender Equity Limited is the only entity in Australia with a license to administer Athena SWAN accreditation
- it has a well-established record of delivering the same activities, including the SAGE expansion
- the nature of the grant activity is specifically dependent on the skills, knowledge and networks developed during the previous phases of this grant opportunity.
