Implementation of the National Disability Research Partnership
This grant opportunity will fund an organisation to implement the National Disability Research Partnership (NDRP), an initiative under Australia’s Disability Strategy 2021-2031 (the ADS).
The NDRP was established through a partnership between the Commonwealth, the University of Melbourne’s Melbourne Disability Institute and the disability sector. The role of the NDRP will be to facilitate a collaborative and inclusive disability research program that builds the evidence base for developing policy and practices to improve the lives of people with disability and carers. It will enable the NDRP to play a key role to support the outcomes of the ADS. It will achieve this by:
- funding research that is informed by an NDRP research agenda which is being developed in consultation with stakeholders within the disability sector and government
- ensuring all research is done by and with people with disability
- strengthening disability research capacity
- supporting the uptake of research findings into policy and practice.
