Description:

The purpose of this grant opportunity is to launch a series of coordinated initiatives under the Embrace Kids Australia brand aimed at improving the body image of young people across Australia and preventing the onset of eating disorders and other mental health concerns.

The Program aims to improve body image and resilience to appearance pressures. The initiatives combined will reach one million Australian school children in 2023-24.

Young people, parents, teachers, and coaches will have enhanced capacity to treat themselves and each other with positivity after having engaged with the Program. These changes to the school, sport, home, and peer environments will create positive change that supports the health and wellbeing of younger Australians.

The intended outcomes of the grant opportunity are to:

  • Support young people across Australia to build and maintain positive body image.
  • Improve the long-term mental health outcomes of young Australians.

Eligibility:

To be eligible, you must be the listed organisation and have received an invitation to apply from the department.

  • capability to deliver the grant activities nationally;
  • existing infrastructure and relationships to support the grant activities;
  • experience, knowledge and capability to deliver the grant objectives and outcomes; and
  • demonstrated value for money1 in delivering outcomes in the current market.

$6,200,000.00
