The Australian Biological Resources Study’s National Taxonomy Research Grant Program - provides grants for research focused on taxonomy and systematics.
The Student Travel Grants subprogram - provides support for Honours, Masters and PhD students in Australian institutions to travel to national or international conferences or workshops relevant to:
- the student’s research program in taxonomy or systematics; and the

the Australian Biological Resources Study’s Priority areas for Research Grants.
Details of eligibility are provided within the Rules for Student Travel Grants (guidelines).
- 1 April 2019 – round opens to applications

1 May 2019 (2:00pm AEST) – round closes to applications

2-17 May 2019 – applications assessed and recommendations made to the delegate.

17 May 2019 – delegate approves successful applicants.

20 May - 14 June 2019 – applicants notified of the outcomes. Funding agreements negotiated with successful applicants.
- July 2019 – grant funded projects commence.

- Applications must be submitted by an Australian host institution (e.g. university or college) on behalf of students currently enrolled in an Honours, Masters or PhD degree in the field of taxonomy and/or biosystematics.
- Students do not need to be permanent Australian residents.
