The International Airports Security Charges Rebate program provides financial support to those international airports designated Major and federally-leased Restricted-Use.

The objective of the Program is to assist eligible international airports receiving international passenger services to continue to meet mandated security obligations that must be met regardless of the reduced volume of aviation activity during the COVID-19 pandemic, and to maintain the capability to facilitate international passenger services.

The program will fund the shortfall being incurred by eligible airports associated with meeting mandated security and related security activities for international passenger flights during the grant period, as well as costs directly related to maintaining capability to accept international services to assist in the international re-opening.

To be eligible to apply for this grant opportunity applicants must be invited to apply by the Department; and meet the eligibility criteria set out in the grant guidelines.
