The objective of the program is to project an accurate image of modern Australia through increased access to high quality, trusted and credible content, contributing to a diversity of media in the Indo-Pacific.
The PacificAus TV grant opportunity is a closed non-competitive grant established as part of a range of initiatives to enhance Australia’s engagement in the Pacific. The Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development, Communications and the Arts (the department) considers that this is an appropriate type of selection process as Free TV has proven to be a strong delivery manager for the program to date. It has successfully provided a package of content drawing widely on its comprehensive commercial television network member base as well as acquiring content from the national broadcasters
