To view the grant opportunity documents, please select the red "Grant Opportunity Documents" button on the left-hand side.
This grant seeks to establish and operate a centralised tele-psychology and tele-psychiatry service (the Centralised Service) by creating a pool of clinical psychologists and psychiatrists to support the clinical capacity of Medicare Mental Health Centres as part of a multidisciplinary team.
The Centralised Service should work with Centres to safely and appropriately support the needs of people with complex mental health needs through collaborative clinical care provision.
The Centralised Service must provide primary psychology and psychiatry consultations (consumer facing services) and secondary psychiatry consultations (health professional services).
The Centralised Service must align with the National Service Model for Centres and strong clinical governance processes and clear guidance for working with centres will be necessary to ensure safe and quality collaborative care arrangements.
Services must be accessible at no cost, available via appointment during standard business hours with after-hours on-call availability for urgent unavoidable cases.
It is expected that the Centralised Service will commence operation from 1 July 2025 until 30 June 2028.
