Knowledge and Skill Development
The Support for NDIS Providers Grants Program (Grants Program) assists the NDIS Commission to ensure people with disability have their rights upheld to access quality and safe NDIS supports and services delivered by skilled providers and workers.
The Grants Program seeks to promote quality and safety through grant activities that educate, influence and consult with stakeholders on:
- the rights of people with disability
- quality providers and workers
- a thriving and diverse market.
The Grants Program is built on three complementary Pillars.
This grant opportunity delivers on the Knowledge and Skill Development Pillar. Applicants are invited to submit proposals to undertake activities that will achieve the objective and intended outcomes of the grant opportunity.
The objective of the Knowledge and Skill Development grant opportunity is that:
- people with disability exercise their rights when accessing NDIS supports and services, and providers and workers are upholding the rights of people with disability in the delivery of NDIS supports and services.
The intended outcomes of the Knowledge and Skill Development grant opportunity are that:
- people with disability have increased knowledge of their rights and have skills to exercise those rights when accessing NDIS supports and services
- providers and workers have increased knowledge of the rights of people with disability and their obligations to uphold those rights in the delivery of NDIS supports and services
- people with disability, providers and workers have increased skills to uphold the rights of people with disability and to access and deliver quality and safe NDIS supports and services.
Applicants are invited to consider proposals that address a priority cohort as identified in the Grant Opportunity Guidelines.
To be eligible you must:
- have an Australian Business Number (ABN)
- have an account with an Australian financial institution
- be located in Australia
and be one of the following entity types:
- a company incorporated in Australia
- an association incorporated in Australia, including incorporated associations which are incorporated under a State Act
- an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Corporation registered under the Corporations (Aboriginal and /or Torres Strait Islander) Act 2006
You do not have to be an NDIS provider (registered or unregistered) to apply for a grant under this grant opportunity. However, providers may choose to apply for a grant.
All applications will be required to provide evidence from your board, chief executive officer or equivalent if there is no board, that the project is supported and that you can complete the project.
The grant opportunity is available for projects with a duration of between 12 months up to 3 years.
$5,000,000.00
From $100,000.00 to $500,000.00

- complete the GO6984 Knowledge and Skill Development application form and budget template
- address all assessment criteria
- include all necessary attachments, as outlined in the Grant Opportunity Guidelines
- submit your completed application to grants@ndiscommission.gov.au by 14:00 AEST, Friday 30 August 2024.
