Description:

The purpose of the grant is to provide emergency grant funding to upgrade and installation of security fencing; purchase and installation of CCTV cameras and the continued engagement of an interim security service (until the sites are secured by fencing) for Mount Isa Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Services Limited (Gidgee Healing) at:

 - Ngooderi House (Doomadgee)

 - Kuba Natha Hostel (Mornington Island)

 - Kukatja Place (Normanton)

The objectives of the grant are to:

 - support the aged care service provider to continue to provide quality, aged care services, in a situation that poses a risk to the safety of aged care recipients and staff, which is outside of the service provider’s control and

 - address the need for installing security measures in an emergency situation.
