The program supports a dedicated Secretariat to administer the Australia-India Business Champions and a revitalised CEO Forum. This is a closed non-competitive grant program. The Business Council of Australia has been identified as the eligible organisation that meets the program requirements.

The program objectives are:

The intended outcomes are:

- manage operations and intersessional work of the Business Champions and CEO Forum
- strengthen business literacy and business engagement between Australia and India
- support business leaders to provide advice to the Australian and Indian Governments on challenges and opportunities within the economic relationship
- facilitate opportunities for business leaders to discuss priority business issues directly with government and political leaders to resolve problems
