Reading Writing Hotline
The Reading Writing Hotline program provides a national advisory and referral service for adults looking to improve their literacy, numeracy and/or digital skills. It provides a national focus on improving outcomes for working age Australians and helps individuals overcome language, literacy, numeracy and digital literacy (LLND) issues by connecting them to the training opportunities they need.
The intended outcomes of the program are to:
- support continued delivery of the Reading Writing Hotline, a national referral service for adults seeking to improve their reading, writing, numeracy and digital skills
- ensure that clients of the Reading Writing Hotline are referred to LLND training opportunities that are appropriate to their needs (where available)
- support research and project improvement activities which will contribute to the enhancement of the Reading Writing Hotline service and expansion of user markets
- continue and enhance strategic mapping of the delivery of literacy services in each state and territory and continuous tracking of provider changes.
