Prioritising Mental Health Lifeline Australia - Enhanced Telephone and On-line Crisis Service
The Prioritising Mental Health: Lifeline Australia – Enhanced telephone and online crisis service (the program) was announced as part of the Budget 2018-19 Prioritising Mental Health, Preventative Health and Sport strategy. The intention of the program is to provide additional and ongoing funding to Lifeline Australia.
The objectives of the program are:
• To provide Australians in need of and seeking crisis support through Lifeline Australia with a more responsive and accessible service.
The intended outcomes of the program are:
• Lifeline Australia will increase its responsiveness to community need by increasing their call answer rate from the current 85%; and
• Lifeline Australia will deliver a service that is consistently of higher quality and increased effectiveness through improved monitoring, coaching and development of crisis supporters; improved complaint and incident management practices and a modernised operating environment to better support individuals in times of crisis and equip individuals and communities to be suicide-safe.
As this is a closed non-competitive grant opportunity only Lifeline Australia (ABN 84 081 031 263) are eligible to apply.
