The funding can be utilised for costs of construction, alterations or renovations, completion and fit out of relevant buildings.
The organisations eligible to apply for the following locations are:

• Mala’la Health Service Aboriginal Corporation – Maningrida, NT
• North West Hospital and Health Service - Normanton, Qld
• Ngaanyatjarra Health Service (Aboriginal Corporation) - Warburton, WA
The grant opportunity is designed to facilitate a comprehensive approach, divided into two stages, to align with the principles outlined in the National Agreement on Closing the Gap:
• Stage 1 - scoping and design (crucial in informing the subsequent stage)
• Stage 2 - construction of the dialysis unit.
This will support First Nations Australians with end stage kidney disease who must undergo dialysis treatment, often in locations far from their families and communities.

Potential grantees are advised that an election for the House of Representatives may be called before this grant process has been concluded. If an election is called and the House of Representatives is dissolved, then caretaker arrangements will apply to the business of Government. By convention, decisions are not taken during this period that would bind an incoming Government and limit its freedom of action. Consequently, potential grantees need to be aware that any grant processes which have not been concluded before the caretaker period, or which commence during the caretaker period, may experience delays in finalisation and could potentially be revised or cancelled.
