The purpose of the grant is to provide an opportunity for a maximum of fourteen (14) Year 11 and 12 students from St. Marys College, Maryborough, QLD to participate in a non-accredited training program including an industry site tour for increasing knowledge and informing of the daily operations and working environments where Computer Aided Drawing (CAD) technology applies. The grant will directly support students and address skills shortages in the region by demonstrating linkages between classroom-based learning and the working environment for future school and post-school studies, by providing training and displaying how VET pathways complement and build foundations skills for occupations, where Computer Aided Drawing (CAD) technology applies.
