Lake Clarendon STEM Shed
Purpose:
The Lake Clarendon STEM Shed will be a space for the school s 150+ students to exercise their creativity through a variety of guided and self–directed STEM–related projects. Equipment and materials will be selected based on their alignment with design thinking processes including ideation, prototyping and testing. Students from Prep to Year Six will be encouraged to be involved in maker activities through weekly STEM Shed Project sessions, where they will be guided through a STEM project such as creating a castle, marble run or rocket. These projects will guide students through the design thinking process so they can apply these skills to their self–directed projects. Upper school students will be encouraged to work with younger students.
