Purpose:
This project will renew playground equipment at Waratah Park in south Inverell. The park is a recreational outlet for the 420 residences in South Inverell, which is a predominantly Aboriginal population, and includes a high percentage of social housing and household incomes well below the NSW average. The project will renew playground equipment which is dilapidated and replace softfall to enhance safety. The project is supported by the Aboriginal community and also the Linking Together Centre, which adjoins the park and delivers cultural, educational and health programs.
