2023 Priority-driven Collaborative Cancer Research scheme
Grant Activity:
Unlocking the potential of the blood-brain barrier in the fight against paediatric brain gliomas
Purpose:

Diffuse Midline Glioma (DMG) is a deadly childhood brain cancer. Treatment is limited as it is difficult to deliver therapies across the blood-brain barrier (BBB). DMGs impact specific pathways in endothelial cells that maintain the integrity of the BBB. By modifying BBB integrity with clinically available drugs, this project aims to improve penetration of the BBB by treatments.
