There and back again: understanding the epigenetic remodelling that turns glia into glioma
Purpose:
Glia are cells that protect, nourish and insulate neurons within the brain; but can also turn into glioma, the major form of brain cancer in humans. In order to understand why glia can become cancerous, this project will profile the packaging of DNA within healthy glia and ask how this packaging changes during cancer formation.
