Same-visit hepatitis C testing and treatment to accelerate cure among people who inject drugs: a cluster randomised controlled trial
Purpose:
The QuickStart Study will establish and evaluate same-visit rapid hepatitis C testing and treatment in community clinics. We aim to evaluate the effect of rapid testing on treatment uptake and reduction the burden of hepatitis C in the community. We hypothesise that with increased testing, rapid testing will lead to increased treatment uptake and cure, which will have long term public health benefits and be cost-effective.
