The purpose of this Grant is to deliver a training program to Years 10, 11 and 12 students for gaining skills in Vocational Education and Training (VET) pathways aligned with skill shortage occupations in the Hospitality and Tourism industry sectors and to improve their opportunities for employment on completion of their education. The Grant will directly support industry needs and address the skills shortages in the Hospitality and Tourism industry sectors on King Island, Tasmania, by providing a training program that includes one (1) accredited training unit, 3 non accredited training units and an industry tour. The program will be delivered to a maximum of ten (10) students and one (1) supervising teacher from King Island District High School, Tasmania, over a course of five (5) consecutive days.
