Grant Activity:
Innovative sleep and circadian technology to optimise athletic performance
Purpose:
Sleep is the greatest natural performance enhancer we have, and yet improving sleep remains a national priority. This project aims to develop, implement and validate a set of personalised sleep recommendations to optimise wellbeing and performance, and integrate it into a practical, scalable digital solution. With an initial focus on female athletes, this project will use innovative science and technology to develop new intellectual property that can improve sleep and performance, highlighted as a critical need in the Government’s National Plan ‘Sport 2030’. The expected outcomes will provide a direct benefit to elite, sub-elite and community sports organisations, as well as society at large through increasing productivity and performance.
