Purpose:
One in 5 children have a speech or language disorder at school entry, with lifelong deficits in psychosocial, academic and employment outcomes. Current speech pathology management is severely limited because it focuses on symptoms and ignores critical growing evidence on underlying genetic and neural aetiologies. The vision of our CRE is to transform speech pathology, by identifying, understanding and targeting the underlying aetiology that results in the symptomatology.
