Grant Activity:
Supplemental Jejunal feeding to Improve Quality of Life (SuperQoL)
Purpose:
Troublesome symptoms such as pain, weight loss and diarrhoea are highly prevalent in people diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. These symptoms contribute to malnutrition, chemotherapy dose reductions, and reduced quality of life (QOL) and survival. Intensive nutrition support with tube feeding and adequate symptom control may reduce these symptoms. This project aims to develop and implement a study to assess the effectiveness of this intervention in improving symptoms and QOL in pancreatic cancer.
