Purpose:
Early detection, diagnosis and prognosis of lung cancers is an area of unmet clinical need. This grant proposal uses recently established methods to investigate specialized immune cells and their products in blood and tumours to detect lung cancer onset and recurrence early, and to infer patient outcomes. This will lead to informed, personalized and timely surgical and therapeutic interventions with the ultimate aim of improving lung cancer survival rates.
