Purpose:
Midway will install a state of the art stretcher leveller, crop shear and discharge table to its existing Melbourne Blanking line. This allows the Blanking line to produce sheets and plates that are 100% flat, by stretching the stainless steel material beyond its yield point and resetting the materials memory and internal stresses. This flattening method is superior to all other methods and cannot be achieved by any other Australian company and most imported standardised product.
