Purpose:
The Wiks Project will employ 2 FTE, including 1.5 FTE First Nations Australians to undertake activities that address threats to the natural and cultural values of the Wik Indigenous Protected Area Project. The Wik Indigenous Protected Area Project will be managed in accordance with the IUCN protected area management category VI described in the Wik Indigenous Protected Area Stage 1 Management PLan 2019-2024.??
Threats and management actions identified through the 2019-2024 Wik Indigenous Protected Area Stage 1 Management Plan and specific activities to mitigate these threats will be negotiated annually with NIAA through the Annual Project Plan and Budget negotiation process for this project. ?
