Preventing Preterm Birth
The Preventing Preterm Birth grant will continue strategies to prevent preterm and early-term birth and reduce the number of babies born too early in participating maternity services and First Nations communities.
It will support clinical leaders, researchers, maternity hospitals and communities to safely reduce the rate of preterm and early-term birth in Australia through a range of evidence-based interventions to manage known risk factors for preterm birth.
Activities in each jurisdiction will be adapted for their local context and will consider the health determinants of priority population groups, including First Nations women and women from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) backgrounds.
