NHMRC-AMED 2024 ASPIRE
NHMRC and the Japan Agency for Medical Research and Development (AMED) are considering a bilateral call through AMED’s Advanced International Collaborative Research Program - Adoption of Sustainable Partnership for Innovative Research Ecosystem (ASPIRE). This call is open to collaborative projects led by at least one Japan-based and one Australia-based investigator. Please see the AMED website for AMED’s preannouncement of this opportunity.
This program aims to elucidate the mechanisms underlying the maintenance and disruption of biological functions in complex systems. These systems encompass interactions at various levels, such as cell-to-cell, tissue-to-tissue, pathogen-host, and even human-human social relationships. Our comprehension of these complex systems is being augmented by state-of-the-art methodologies, including non-invasive biomedical measurement techniques and AI technologies for analysing large-scale complexity.
