The JFPDP will commence from 1 January 2023, and will incrementally deliver increased rural primary care rotations (MM 2-7) for hospital-based prevocational doctors in rural areas from 125 FTE (500 rotations) in the 2023 training year to 200 FTE (800 rotations) by the 2025 training year.
This Grant Opportunity is being undertaken through a targeted competitive approach, with applications open to only State and the Northern Territory Departments/ Ministries of Health who, as consortia lead organisations, will be expected to deliver rotations based on community need and workforce shortages in their region. Applications must include the organisations currently funded to deliver the RJDTIF and RJDTIF RG programs as consortia members.
