Forecast Opportunity View - 2025 NHMRC-NEURON Funding Call

NHMRC is considering participating in the ‘NEURON’ Funding Call on ‘Interdisciplinary Approaches to the Neuroscience of Pain’.

NHMRC intends to invite Australia-based researchers who are listed on the successful applications submitted to NEURON during Stage 1 to apply for NHMRC support for the Australian component of the research under at least one of the following topics:

Topic 1: Fundamental research on neuroscientific aspects of the pathogenesis, aetiology, prevention, progression, and treatment of chronic pain. This may include the development of innovative or shared resources and technologies considered of relevance in the context of this call.

Topic 2: Clinical research to develop new strategies for prevention, diagnosis, patient stratification, therapy, and rehabilitation procedures for chronic pain syndromes.

Research in One Health settings will only be funded by NHMRC if it is related to human health.
