2024 NAIDOC Local Grants Opportunity
The NAIDOC Local Grants are an important part of the Australian Government’s support for First Nations communities and organisations to celebrate and promote National NAIDOC Week.
Since 1975, National NAIDOC Week has been held each year, from the first Sunday in July. Every year, grassroots celebrations are held across Australia to recognise the histories, cultures and achievements of First Nations people and communities.
The NAIDOC Local Grants provide a funding contribution towards the cost of local and regional NAIDOC activities and events.
In 2024, $1.7 million (GST exclusive) will be available for the NAIDOC Local Grants Opportunity.
Applications for NAIDOC grants are expected to open in early 2024.
Potential applicants are encouraged to read the Applicants Guide – Forecast Opportunity to help plan their activity / event and to be ready when applications open.
