Description:

Background

The NHMRC-EU Collaborative Research Grants scheme provides a contribution to Australian institutions and researchers who are participating in leading international collaborative research that has been selected for funding through Horizon 2020. Horizon 2020 is currently the EU’s main instrument for funding research and development and will run until 2020.

Eligible Topics

NHMRC is supporting Australian researchers for the following Horizon 2020 calls:

I.SC1-BHC-01-2019: Understanding causative mechanisms in co- and multimorbidities.

II.SC1-BHC-02-2019: Systems approaches for the discovery of combinatorial therapies for complex disorders.

III.SC1-BHC-07-2019:  Regenerative medicine: from new insights to new applications.

IV.SC1-BHC-13-2019: Mining big data for early detection of infectious disease threats driven by climate change and other factors.

V.SC1-BHC-14-2019: Stratified host-directed approaches to improve prevention and/or treatment of infectious diseases.

VI.SC1-BHC-19-2019: Implementation research for maternal and child health.

VII.SC1-BHC-22-2019: Mental health in the workplace.

VIII.SC1-BHC-25-2019: Demonstration pilots for implementation of personalized medicines in healthcare.

IX.SC1-BHC-28-2019: The Human Exposome Project: a toolbox for assessing and addressing the impact of environment on health.

X.SC1-DTH-01-2019: Big data and Artificial Intelligence for monitoring health status and quality of life after the cancer treatment.

 

Eligibility:

Applications must be made to, and approved through the European Commission (EC) peer review process to be eligible for funding through NHMRC.

Applications will only be accepted from NHMRC approved Administering Institutions. A list of NHMRC approved Administering Institutions is available at:
