The Australian Government values the role volunteers play in building stronger and more resilient communities.

The Department has begun planning for the 2019 Volunteer Grants round, which is expected to open later this year.

Grants of between $1,000 and $5,000 will help community organisations buy equipment such as laptops, fridges, dishwashers, pay for fuel costs or training.

The Government recognises the critical role volunteers play in shaping Australia to be a stronger, more connected and prosperous society.

We encourage all organisations to apply for the 2019 Volunteer Grants round.
