Description:

The Australian Government is inviting applications to apply for the HAFF Crisis and Transitional Accommodation Program from October to November 2024.

Grants under the CTAP are for capital works only. This includes new buildings, purchases, or remodels and expansions that increase the stock of crisis and transitional accommodation. Applicants will be required to explain their approach to securing ongoing funding for maintenance and service delivery for appropriate support services (such as FDV services, and other wrap around services for women and children experiencing FDV or older women at risk of homelessness) over the course of the Designated Use Period.

The intended outcomes of the program are:

  • increased appropriate crisis and transitional accommodation options for women and children experiencing FDV
  • increased appropriate crisis and transitional accommodation options for older women at risk of homelessness
  • more women and children who are experiencing FDV being safely housed in appropriate crisis and transitional accommodation
  • more older women who are at risk of homelessness being safely housed in appropriate crisis and transitional accommodation.

The department will hold information sessions in October. The information sessions will provide guidance on the Grant Opportunity Guidelines, eligibility and assessment criteria, and an opportunity to ask questions. You can register for an information session on Eventbrite.
